Special Requirements
Age Limits: You must be at least 18 years old with a valid photo ID to rent and drive the jet car. Children are typically allowed to ride along as passengers, but they must be at least 5 to 10 years old and accompanied by an adult.
Weight Limits: Because the vehicles are modified, high-performance jet hulls, operators strictly enforce maximum weights. The limit is generally 250 lbs (113 kg) to 290 lbs (131 kg) for a single rider, and a combined total of 450 lbs (204 kg) for two people sharing a vehicle.
Documentation: You do not need a specialized boat or driving license, but the primary renter must present a valid government-issued ID and sign a standard liability waiver before hitting the water.
Maritime Captain Protocols: According to Jamaican maritime protocols, inexperienced drivers cannot operate watercraft completely alone in open waters. A certified instructor or lifeguard will either ride with you or closely monitor you from an adjacent jet ski to guide your path.
