Special Requirements

Medical & Health Clearances PADI Medical Form: Every participant doing a scuba activity (including Try SCUBA) must complete a standard PADI Medical Questionnaire. Doctor’s Approval: If you answer "yes" to certain medical conditions (e.g., asthma, heart conditions, severe allergies, high blood pressure, or ear issues), you will need written clearance from a physician before entering the water. Age Restrictions Try SCUBA & Open Water: Minimum age is generally 10 years old for Open Water or Discover SCUBA sessions. Children under 18: Must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign liability waivers. Skill & Certification Requirements Certifications: Certified divers must show proof of certification (PADI, NAUI, SSI, etc.) and a physical or digital logbook for guided reef or wreck dives. Basic Swimming Ability: For full scuba courses, you must demonstrate basic water comfort, including a continuous 200-meter swim (or 300-meter with mask/snorkel) and a 10-minute float/water tread. Non-Divers/Boat Trips: Boat charters to Lime Cay or eco-tours do not require swimming experience, but life jackets are mandatory while on the vessel. Flight Safety Protocol Flying After Diving: If you are diving, you must wait 12 hours after a single dive or 18+ hours after multiple dives before flying out of Norman Manley International Airport.

What To Bring

Essentials: Swimwear, quick-dry towel, change of clothes, and water shoes or secure sandals.   Sun & Reef Care: Reef-safe high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brim hat.   Dive Gear (If certified): Proof of certification/logbook, mask, snorkel, or personal gear if preferred (rentals available on-site).   Extras: Dry bag or waterproof pouch for electronics, reusable water bottle, and cash/card for incidentals.
Cost & Pricing Try SCUBA / Discover SCUBA: Starts around $100–$180 USD depending on pool vs. ocean dive options. PADI Open Water Certification: ~$450–$650 USD (includes equipment, instructional materials, and ocean dives). Single & Multi-Tank Dives: $100 USD (1-tank) to $180 USD (2-tank package with gear). Day Charters & Art Experiences (e.g., Lime Cay trips): ~$7,500 JMD per person for specialty events including roundtrip transport and gear. How to Get There Location: Port Royal, Kingston, Jamaica.
